In 2023, Matt Lang (Director of Generosity) decided it was time to expand his own impact by launching his own fundraising and philanthropy consultancy. The Generous Project was born !

Matt is a Fellow of the Fundraising Institute of Australia (FFIA) and holds the Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) international credential. He currently serves on the Fundraising Institute of Australia Queensland Committee.

Matt has been fortunate to hone his expertise over time, learning from global philanthropy thought leaders like Guy Mallabone, Kay Sprinkle-Grace, Adrian Sargeant and Richard Radcliffe.

Having worked for some of Australia’s most iconic and enduring charities including The Salvation Army,
Royal Children’s Hospital Foundation, Lifeline Queensland, Mater Hospital Foundation and Variety the Children’s Charity, service to the charity and Not-For-Profit sector is in our DNA.

In a long list of career highlights, Matt pioneered the role of Fundraising Manager at the Brisbane Broncos where he successfully directed their Capital Campaign to build a new Training & Community Facility. In addition he designed and launched “Broncos Forever”, a bequest program for Broncos supporters passionately committed to the future success of their team.

Matt believes that humanity’s search for meaning can be found in great philanthropy and is focused on helping organisations have great conversations with supporters about significant gifts, to causes they love.
