The Australian philanthropy and giving landscape continues to expand particularly in the big gift space. According to the Credit Suisse Global Wealth Report, Australia has nearly 2 million people with a net worth of more than USD $1 million.
Similarly, a recent report from Australian investment advisory service Generation Life, estimated that Baby Boomers will transfer $4.9 trillion in assets to family, friends and organisations in the future. That’s a staggering $224 billion each year until 2050.
The opportunity to raise significant funds from major gifts and bequests is immense.
